Introduction

GTR comprising the districts of Gujranwala, Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin, Narowal, Hafizabad and Sialkot has 46 towns and an un-served population of 3.1 Million. USF plans to establish an estimated 154 EBCs and 34 CBC’s in GTR.

After the process of matching lowest subsidy and selection of targets (as per USF Broadband Bidding documents – RFA clauses 47, 48, 50 and 51), the contracts that have been signed with the three* bidders are summarized below.

* M/s Great Bear International Services (Pvt.) Ltd. (GBIS) accepted the Letter of Intent but failed to furnish Performance Guarantee. Therefore their Bid Bond was confiscated. Targets assigned to GBIS will be offered to the remaining bidders if they accept to match the lowest subsidy bid.
