Introduction

Nasirabad Lot covers roughly 5% of the area of Baluchistan in the Central East and has 4 districts (Bolan, Jaffarabad, Jhal Magsi and Nasirabad) and 7 tehsils. This lot is bounded by Larkana and Jacobabad districts in the South East, Dera Bugti and Kohlu districts in the North East, Sibi district in North and North East, Mastung district in the North West, and Khuzdar and Kalat districts in the West. Generally, Nasirabad Lot has an arid climate with moist cold winters and hot dry summers. 648 muzas and un-served population of around 487,000 people will benefit from this rural telecom project.

CMPak was declared Technically Qualified and Financial Bid was opened on 3rd July 2009. Subsidy requested is as follows;

Result: M/s CMPak Limited was declared as the qualified bidder and contract, worth Pak Rs. 1,572,745,714/-, was signed with CMPak on 28th July 2009.

Comments:

Technical Audit of 1st project milestone is in Progress. Due to security situation in the area SP has requested Force Majeure in the area for a period of 5 months for which the supporting documents from SP are awaited. Project is expected to close by the end of year 2010.
