Universal Service Fund intends to subsidize Benazir Multi-purpose Community Telecenters (MCTs) across rural areas of Pakistan. Each Benazir MCT will be fully equipped with international standard ICT infrastructure, Broadband and Alternate Energy. The MCTs will provide services to the local community. A Pilot project is planned for testing the concept at approximately 20 + sites before the launch of the actual project.
