Tender Notice:
1. In accordance with the Pakistan Telecommunication (Re-organization) Act 1996 and Universal Service Fund Rules 2006, as amended, USF will conduct auctions for the following Lots:
a. RTeS/Lot17-Khuzdar/2009: Consisting of un-served areas in Khuzdar district.
b. RTeS/Lot05-Kalat/2009: Consisting of un-served areas in Kalat district.
c. RTeS/Lot24-Mastung/2009: Consisting of un-served areas in Mastung, Nushki and Ziarat districts.
2. USF will conduct a reverse auction bidding process for the award of subsidy to be paid to the Successful Applicant to assist in meeting the costs of providing telecommunications services in identified service areas. Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the international competitive bidding procedures contained in the bidding documents.
3. Updated Information regarding each Lot including auction process, services to be provided, eligibility to participate in auction, registration instructions, mode of auction, reserve price, event schedule and other necessary information is available in the “Information Packages” placed on the USFCo’s website www.usf.org.pk regarding each Lot.
4. All registered licensees or consortia will be entitled to receive following detailed bidding documents regarding each Lot identified above from the office of the undersigned, on any business day, between 9am and 5pm.
- The “Request for Applications (RFA)”, setting out specific information regarding the application process and intended USF project; and
- The “Draft of Subsidy and Services Agreement (SSA)”, setting out the rights and obligations of the service provider and details of the selected areas and services to be provided
The last date of registration for each Lot is specified in their relevant RFA.
5. Please note that licensees or consortia already registered for the above mentioned Lots need fresh registrations without any registration fee.
6. Registered participants must submit their bids, in the manner and mode prescribed in the RFA, to the undersigned at the address and date/time specified in the Information Package/RFA. Any bid received after specified date and time shall be returned un-opened.
7. USFCo may reject all bids or proposals at any time prior to the acceptance of a bid or proposal.
