- In accordance with the Pakistan Telecommunication (Re-organization) Act 1996 and Universal Service Fund Rules 2006, as amended, the USF will conduct auctions for the following Optical Fiber Packages:
- USF will conduct a reverse auction bidding process for the award of a one-time subsidy to be paid to the Successful Applicant to assist in meeting the costs of providing Optic Fiber Network and Optic Fiber Services in identified areas of Balochistan and Punjab Province. Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the international competitive bidding procedure contained in the bidding documents.
- Information regarding the Packages including auction process, services to be provided, eligibility to participate in auction, registration instructions, mode of auction, event schedule and other necessary information is available in the “Information Packages” placed on the USF’s website http://www.usf.org.pk/Tenderdescription.aspx?136 regarding each Package.
- After registration, the eligible licensees or consortia will be entitled to receive detailed bidding documents (RFA/SSA) regarding each Package identified above from the office of the undersigned, against a non-refundable payment of PKR 25,000 in the shape of Demand Draft or Pay Order in favor of USF.
- The last date of registration for each Package is specified in relevant RFA.
- Registered participants must submit their bids, in the manner and mode prescribed in the RFA, to the undersigned at the address and date/time specified in the Information Package/RFA. Any bid received after specified dateand time shall be returned un-opened.
- USFCo may reject all bids or proposals at any time prior to the acceptance of a bid or proposal.
